Bruce & Karen Levenson Donate to the University of Maryland

Bruce and Karen Levenson launched the Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Maryland first with seed money and then with following financial gift. The Center features quite a few different innovative course for students to take. The money collected from these courses goes right to deserving nonprofit organizations. According to Time, Bruce Levenson himself, the “mission of the Center is twofold.” This is because the Center is giving students the skills and experience they need to be the next generation of leaders for nonprofit organizations.  Many students are often sought after to participate as fellows for the Smithsonian and the Mariott Foundation. Upon graduating, these students find full-time employment at the places where they once worked as fellows. According to Bruce Levenson, the Center has the potential for the most impact .
